Participate in an AVI Study

If you are interested in PARTICIPATING IN A STUDY ON ASYNCHRONOUS VIDEO INTERVIEWS (AVIS), SEE BELOW FOR INFORMATION AND A LINK TO ACTIVE STUDIES

Do you want to improve your job interview skills? We are inviting you to participate in a study on asynchronous video interviews (AVIs), a new form of virtual interview increasingly used by many employers. This study is being led by a University of Calgary research lab.

The study will provide the opportunity to practice your interviewing skills. You will be given some instructions and information about AVIs and some ways to improve, and will be asked to participate in a practice AVI for a project manager role (although several questions are broadly applicable, common interview questions), where you will record your responses to interview questions that appear via text. You will then be asked to answer complete a survey, including some questions pertaining to the interview, and some questions about yourself (e.g., individual differences, demographic information) on an online questionnaire.

You will be required to have a device that has a working webcam and microphone. The study will take approximately 45 minutes to complete. Participants will be compensated with a $25 electronic gift card. Furthermore, the top 10 participants who perform the best in the interview will be provided an additional bonus of $25 in the form of a gift card.

Participation in the study is voluntary and you may withdraw from the study at any time. The study will keep all data confidential, including video and audio recordings. If you have any questions about the study, you may contact the researchers, or click the link to go directly to the study:
